About

Built where the work actually happens

IMECore is early and small. It exists to move IME coordination out of email and shared drives and into one system that keeps a clear record. Data stays in Canada. A person approves every step that reaches an examinee or a referrer.

Origin

The problem the founders saw

Not a market trend. A desk, an inbox, and a set of files that would not close.

The team spent time with IMA Solutions in Vancouver, a firm that runs IME coordination the way most Canadian firms still do. Referrals arrive by email and fax. Staff re-type names, dates, and questions into trackers. Records arrive as thousands of loose pages. Availability is phone tag. Reports take weeks to leave the building. The truth of a case lives in threads and folders, not in one place.

That work is skilled, but the tools do not match it. Generic case systems do not know what a referral question is. Generic AI assistants can summarize a thread, but they cannot own a case lifecycle or produce an audit trail that satisfies a privacy review. Staff carry the process in their heads and pay for it in hours.

IMECore started as a single question: what would this desk look like if the referral opened a case by itself, the records sorted themselves, and the coordinator spent their time on decisions instead of re-typing? The answer became a system of record with an agent layer that drafts and a human layer that approves.

What we inherited from that desk

  • Respect for the coordinator. The intake role is the centre of the file, not a support role.
  • A dislike of hidden state. If a fact matters, it lives on the case and is easy to find.
  • Canadian residency as a base choice, not a toggle. Data location is not a surprise after purchase.
  • One firm first. Depth on a real workload before breadth across many logos.

Position

What we stand for

Three commitments that shape the product, the price, and the way we run the work.

Canadian-first

Data stays in Canada

Cases run on Cloudflare. We ask Cloudflare to keep data in Western North America. That is a best-effort hint. Cloudflare does not offer a Canada-only choice for this storage today. AI that touches health information runs only in Canada and is verified on every request. Every access to personal health information is logged and can be audited. That is the default for every workspace.

Per-case pricing

Pay for closed files, not seats

Coordinators, reviewers, examiners, and finance staff get logins without seat fees. The bill follows the work that actually closed. See pricing for the current rate.

Person in the loop

A person approves what leaves the building

AI drafts extracts, chronologies, and report checks. A named person accepts the intake, approves the booking, and signs off the report. Nothing that reaches an examinee or a referrer moves on AI alone.

Boundaries

What we will not do

Sell case data

Your cases are not training data for sale and not a source for ads. We do not sell, rent, or share case content with third parties outside the subprocessors needed to run the platform.

Hide the price

The price is on the pricing page. If it changes, the page changes first. Quotes cover the coordination work and pass the examiner fee through at cost.

Let AI sign a report

AI can draft a chronology, check that every referral question has an answer, and flag a missing field. It cannot sign a medical opinion. Only the examiner signs. Only a person on your team releases the report.

These are not slogans. They are product decisions. Data residency is a deployment fact. Per-case billing is a billing model. Human approval is a gate in the workflow that blocks release until a person acts. You can test each one on a real file.

How it works

The work, in order

A referral arrives by email or through the API. IMECore reads the thread, pulls the claimant details and the questions, and opens a case. A coordinator confirms the extract. No re-typing from scratch.

Records flow into the same case. OCR, categorization, and duplicate detection run there. The coordinator reviews the index and builds the examiner brief with the sources that matter.

Scheduling checks examiner scope, conflict, and availability, then books the appointment. Report drafting uses the brief and the template. Quality checks run before release. Billing closes the loop with one case, one invoice, one retention rule.

What early means

IMECore is a small team. There is no sales floor and no regional office network. The first workspace runs with IMA Solutions. That focus keeps the workflow honest. We ship for one real workload and keep the product multi-tenant so the next firm does not need a rewrite.

You will not see invented logos, invented counts, or a quote from a customer we do not have. When we have results from live volume, we will publish the method and the numbers together.

How to reach us

Talk through a file

Bring a referral, a records set, or a report that bounced back. We will run it through IMECore with you and show where the time goes.

hello@imecore.com

Vancouver, British Columbia. We reply from Canadian business hours. Email is the fastest way to reach the team.

If you send personal health information, use the portal link we provide after first contact. Do not attach PHI to a cold email. We will share a secure upload and confirm receipt.

For privacy questions, write to privacy@imecore.com. For security matters, write to security@imecore.com. For work, see the careers page. There are no open roles at present, but the note you send now is read.

See it against one of your own files

Bring a case that keeps getting passed around. We will run it through IMECore on the call.
