IMECore

For employers and occupational health

Get a fitness answer you can act on

Ask a clear question about duties and restrictions. Get a dated, defensible answer that human resources can use.

The problem

The report answers a medical question, not your question

You need to know whether this person can do these duties, and for how long. What comes back is a diagnosis and a prognosis. Human resources cannot act on it, and the accommodation stalls.

  • The report does not name the duties you asked about.
  • Restrictions are vague or open-ended.
  • You do not know what medical information you may lawfully hold.
  • The return-to-work date slips with no record of why.
  • Every request restarts the paperwork.

What changes

What IMECore does about it

  • Ask about duties, not diagnoses

The referral form asks for the job duties. The report answers against them.

  • Restrictions with dates

Each restriction carries a scope and a review date, so the accommodation has an end and a next step.

  • The right amount of medical detail

The employer view shows capability and restriction. Clinical detail stays with the parties entitled to see it.

  • One record per request

Consent, questions, exam, report, and follow-up sit on one case.

  • Repeat requests reuse the file

A review assessment opens against the original case and carries the history forward.

  • A trail for a grievance

The audit log shows what was asked, what was disclosed, and when.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What medical information do we receive?

Capability and restriction, not diagnosis, unless the employee consents to more. The employer view is limited by role.

Can our occupational health provider run this?

Yes. Give them a coordinator role on the case and they run the file.

Do you handle union grievance requests?

IMECore records who asked, what was disclosed, and when. Use the audit log export in the grievance file.

How fast can we get an assessment?

That depends on the panel and the specialty. The case shows a committed report date from the day it opens.

Which provinces do you cover?

All of them. Consent language, tax, and retention rules follow the province on the case.
