Compare
IMECore against W5 Case
Both run the whole IME workflow. The difference is what you can find out before you get on a call.
The problem
You cannot evaluate what nobody publishes
W5 Case publishes a feature list and a phone number. There is no price, no security page, no product screenshot, and no per-feature detail. Choosing it means booking a call before you know whether it fits.
- No pricing model published, so you cannot tell how you would be charged.
- No public detail on where data is stored.
- No documented API for sending referrals from your claims system.
- The whole public site is one page, so due diligence starts from zero.
What changes
What IMECore does about it
A price on the website

Case data lives in Canada. The trust page names the laws and the model providers.

Forward the email and the fields come out. A person accepts the case.
Records sorted and gap-checked
Sources tracked, duplicates collapsed, missing sources named on the case.
Portals for everyone on the file
Examiner, referrer, and examinee each get one link.
An exportable audit log
Every step with a person and a time, in a format you can file.

What W5 Case is good at
It is a real, mature IME operations product. Its public feature list covers scheduling, workflow rules, documents, messaging, accounting, and reporting, and it names the legacy products it migrates firms away from.
Read their sitePick them instead of us if
You are a large United States IME operation that wants a long-established vendor and a contract-led relationship, and Canadian data residency is not a requirement.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Is W5 Case a bad product?
We have no basis to say that, and we will not. It is an established IME operations system with a broad feature list and firms that have used it for years. Our criticism is of what the website tells a buyer, not of the software.
What does W5 Case cost?
They do not publish a price. Neither does any other IME operations vendor we found. Ask them directly.
Can we migrate from W5 Case?
Yes, if you can export your case list, your records index, and your panel. We map them onto IMECore cases. Ask your vendor for an export before you sign anything with anyone.
Where did these facts come from?
The public W5 Case website, read on 27 August 2026. Where we say 'not published' we mean we could not find it, not that the capability does not exist. If you are from W5 Case and we have this wrong, write to us and we will correct it.
